Teaching on Spiritual Gifts 2 TEXT: 1Corinthians 12:1-12 INTRODUCTION: When it comes to the gifts of the Spirit, you don’t have them when you are born into this world. You must first be born again-2 cor 5:17 and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit – Acts 2:4. It is the Holy Spirit that gives the gifts to Christians as He wills. The following are called the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit: (A) REVELATIONAL GIFTS 1) Word of Knowledge- Acts 10:9-19, Acts 9:11-14, 1cor 12:8, Col 2:2-3, 1 Samuel 10:22-24 This is the supernatural revelation by the Holy Spirit of certain facts in the mind of God. It is a spiritual ability that reveals knowledge of the past or present. God reveals certain information to us as He is All-knowing God; Omniscience. Teaching on Spiritual Gifts 1 TEXT: 1Corinthians 12:1, Romans 12:5-8 A) INTRODUCTION When Apostle Paul wrote about spiritual gift, he was careful to state that he does not want Christians to be ignorant concerning this. In other words, a Christian should not be informed, unaware, misinformed nor misunderstand this subject because lack of proper knowledge leads to destruction – Hosea 4:6. There are different kinds of gifts, service and working but the same Spirit, Lord and God. These spiritual gifts are divine, supernatural, and grace-gifts. B) LIST OF SOME SPIRITUAL GIFTS 1. Administration – It is the divine ability to organize multiple tasks and groups of people to accomplish these tasks.
