LESSON 3- THE BLESSINGS OF TITHING
TEXT- MALACHI 3:10, MATTHEW 23:23, GENESIS 14:20, PROV 3:1-3

Tithing is directly associated with opening the windows of heaven. This opening is what releases the blessings of God, His abundant provision upon His people. No matter what fields of business we are in, we all depend on some things that are completely out of our control. The opening of the windows of heaven refers to those situations that we have no control over. God says He will arrange favorable circumstances for us in certain areas if we are faithful in bringing the tithe to his storehouse.
PRINCIPLES AND PURPOSE OF TITHING: Gen 4:3-5; Heb 11:4; 1 Cor 16:1-3
(a) God deserves the best- Prov 3:9 – Abel offered fat portion from some of the first born of his flock. The Lord looked with favour on Abel and his offering.
(b) God will get my best each week/month – 1cor 16:29
(c) God will get a minimum of 10% as each person gives in keeping with his income – 1 cor 16:29
(d) God will be glorified through my gifts – Eph 5:20. The source or means of acquisition of the resources must be acceptable to God.
(e) God will be praised through my gift/tithe 2 cor 9:7.
(f) My attitude must be right – Mal 1:3, Luke 18:10-14
(g) Store house tithing means the tithe is given to your local church. It is God’s way of growth. As everyone gives according to his ability together, enough money is raised to carry on the ministry of preaching the gospel -  Deut 12:4-7
THE PURPOSE OF TITHE – EXODUS 11:1-2
The borrowing of Jewels and raiment by the Israelites became the seed for God’s people to give gifts to:
i. Worship God
ii. To support the priests
iii. To provide for maintenance of God’s house
iv. To prosper individually - Deut 12:22
THE CURSE OF NO TITHING – Mal 3:9, Prov 26:2
Throughout scripture both blessings and curses are promised as a result of th choices we make, either of the two can impact a person’s life in a powerful way. When we fail to tithe, we invite a curse into our lives, that brings with it loss of many good things. However when brought to the house of the Lord, it becomes a blessing. – Joshua 6:16-19; 7:10-12.
DELIVERANCE THROUGH TITHE – MAL 3:11
When we fail to tithe, the door to the devil is left open. The devourer is able to gain access to the resources and provisions of our lives and destroy them – John 10:10. When we tithe, our source of income is protected from destruction.

Abundance inspite of austerity

TOPIC- ABUNDANCE INSPITE OF AUSTERITY LESSON 2- PRINCIPLES OF ABUNDANCE 2 TEXT- 2 COR 9:10, 2 SAM 24:23-24, GEN 26 The blessings of God will cover our lives when we sow throughout all areas of our lives. If we sow in the church, home, work, with friends and strangers we will reap in all those areas. Wherever the waters of God are flowing fro us, we should sow. If we spend our days giving, we will spend our days reaping. A ) THE SEED SOWN MULTIPLIES – LUKE 6:38, JOHN 6:9-14 There is a common saying “a bird at hand is worth two in the bush”, but in spiritual law, a seed released is worth hundreds yet to be received. The power in your seed to multiply is activated by its release. Your seed is what you sow, your faith is why it multiplies. Our seed multiplies at varying levels, but the lowest level the Word promises is thirty fold – Matthew 13:8. What conditions can affect the level of multiplication of our seed? I) Attitude – 2 Cor 9:7, Acts 5:1-10 II) Obedience to God’s word – Is...

Destiny Fulfilment

THEME: DESTINY FULFILMENT LESSON 1: INTRODUCTION TEXT: ISAIAH 60:11 Our success in life is tied to the fulfilment of our divine destiny. Destiny could mean the things that will happen in the future or the force that controls what happens in the future and is outside human control. We should view destiny as something that is discoverable and not decisive. God decides our destiny and we discover it. Proverb 16:9, Proverb 20:24. This year God has assured us of destiny fulfilment. 1) Every man has a destiny: Exodus 2:1-10, Exodus 3:9-12 There is a divine purpose behind every divine destiny. Nobody is in the world as a mistake - we are divinely sent, placed and equipped- Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 37:23. One of the major role of God in a man's life is to ordain his destiny in him and guide him to accomplish it. 2) Man's Role in destiny fulfilment: Genesis 1:27-31, Genesis 3:14-18 Remember that God made man to be a co-creator. To the Christian man, he is the visible and tangible ...

The relevance of the Christian Youth

THE RELEVANCE OF THE CHRISTIAN YOUTH IN THE 21ST CENTURY TEXT- 1 TIMOTHY 4:12-13 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine”. These were the words of Apostle Paul to timothy; the great apostle used this to warn every youth that no man is lawfully permitted to useless their lives or to take undue advantage of their living. Youths should know their God and serve the one true God in their youthful age. Every Christian youth must rise and shine because the earth has been given to God‘s people to bring down the Kingdom of God to this world and for the propagation of the gospel to places where Jesus Christ is not yet glorified. God has bestowed a lot abilities and privileges to the youths; the youths are much closer to development and the trend of things in the society so this gives them an edge in knowing the things...
