Engaging in evangelical works

THEME- POPULATING GOD’S KINGDOM
TOPIC- ENGAGING IN EVANGELICAL WORKS
TEXT- ROMANS 1:16, 1 COR 9:16
INTRODUCTION
To win a soul is to catch that soul for the Lord; to see him added to the Lord, not merely to the local church attendance. Every soul is won by the Lord Himself but He uses and is dependent upon his children for the accomplishment of his purpose. We are to be used to introduce Christ to the needy souls- John 1:40-42
A GOING CHURCH - MARK 16:15-18
A going church is a growing church likewise the going Christian. You must engage in the operation “go ye” to grow in the right pattern of Christ Jesus. God gives the ”going anointing” and not “a staying anointing”. The availability of ready vessels causes the oil to keep flowing – 2 Kings 4:6
Jesus Christ went about – Acts 10:38
Jonah went to Nineveh- Jonah 1:2
Paul & Barnabas went out- Acts 13:1-4
Timothy was sent- 1 Cor 4:17
We should be a going church – Matthew 28:19-20.
USE YOUR BEST
As Christians, we must discover our unique approaches to soul winning individually. Focus on them in order to grow effectively as a soul winner. There is no strict approach to evangelize rather our major aim should be to win souls.
Come and see or come and hear approaches - John 4:28-29, Ps 66:16
Friendship approach - 1 Cor 9:19-23, Mark 2:15-17
Public / Mass approach – Acts 3:7-13;19, Matthew 5:1-2Acts 13:14-17
Family/household approach – Acts 10:23-26, 34-38, Luke 19:1-9
Care approach - Acts 4:32-37
Gospel cry or morning cry approaches - Isaiah 40:3John 1:23Matthew 3:1-12
Electronic / internet approaches – Proverbs 11:30 - following communication trends for soul winning is a sign of divine wisdom.
SPONSORING EVANGELICAL WORKS –EXODUS 25:1-8, COL 3:23
Every Christian should at least have a yearly or quarterly plan of evangelism. Jesus Christ told us about his concern fro this work of soul winning and this should be our focus too - John 9:5. As stewards unto God, we are expected to use our time, money and talent in the work of soul winning – 1 Cor 4:2, 1 Kings 4:8-17. He shunamite sponsored Elisha’s outreach ministry by providing food and accommodation and the Lord blessed her. John 6:4-12Mark 14:3-9
CONCLUSION
John 12:26- “ If any man serve me, let him follow me: and where I am, there shall also my servant bee: if any man serve me, him will my father honour.

Introduction to Divine purpose

THEME: UNDERSTANDING YOUR DIVINE LIFE PURPOSE LESSON ONE: INTRODUCTION MAIN TEXT – PROVERBS 16:1-11 1) DEFINITION Well, there are multiple interpretations of what life purpose is. It may be called a spiritual calling and it can also be seen it as a higher instruction from God. Beyond religious connotations, a life purpose is simply your life’s message. It is the message you wish to drive in the world during your existence on Earth. Having a life purpose applies to all of us, whether we are religious, non-religious, or atheistic. This means that we are made by God to accomplish his desire in our living, so all must come to Him for directions.- Jeremiah 1:4-12. Well, a life purpose is the first step toward living a truly conscious life of your creation. While you can be busy with a million goals and tasks every day, when you don’t have a clear purpose (one that you believe in with your heart), you may well be barking up the wrong tree. That’s because your goals and tasks may well h...

Growing and operating in the sonship of Christ

THEME - UNDERSTANDING WHO WE ARE IN CHRIT LESSON 4 - GROWING AND OPERATING IN THE SONSHIP TEXT - ROMANS 8:14-23 INTRODUCTION-John 14:18 The value that God has over our relationship with him is so great that only He understands it fully. He loves and protects that relationship of father and son, we have with Him. The spirit of Christ dwells in us and this gives us the privilege and right to call ‘’Abba father’’. THE SONSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST-John 1:1-14, 1 John 5:1-3, Luke 1:35 The charge against Jesus, was that He claimed to be the son of God- Matthew 27:43, John 19:7; a claim He never denied but admitted- Luke 22:70. Demons called Jesus the son of God- Luke 4:41, Mark 3:11. Peter revealed it- Matthew 1:15-17. Jesus is the firstborn- Col 1:15 and first begotten- Col 1:18, Heb 1:6, Rev 1:5. As the son, He is same with the father in equality and identity- Isaiah 9:6. In the sense of begotten, it does not mean Jesus has a beginning but it is so, for our understanding of the relat...

Taking our place in God's Dominion mandate

THEME: Understanding who we are in Christ LESSON 5: Taking our place in God’s dominion mandate MAIN TEXT: Colossian 1:15-20 INTRODUCTION God gave man the dominion mandate in Genesis 1:26-28 but we cannot fully understand and operate in the dominion mandate without a relationship with Jesus Christ because in Him lies the fullness of all things and the dominion over all are under Him as the Lord of all. Matthew 28:18. 1 Peter 3:22. And we are complete in Christ. THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST – Ephesians 1:20-23, Daniel 7:14 Jesus Christ is Lord over all because He is God. God rules over all things by His providential control – Psalm 103:19. He has achieved the final victory over sin and death through His resurrection and ascension. Christ has authority over all believers and unbelievers – Matthew 20:18. The implication of the dominion of Christ: i) He is truly the King of kings and Lord of lords – Revelation 19:16. (ii)He is the blessed and only potentate – 1 Timothy 6:15. (iii)He...
